Globalization has become the buzzword of our time. But what does it mean? Rather than forcing a complicated social phenomenon into a single analytical framework, this course seeks to present globalization as a multidimensional process constituted by complex, often contradictory interactions of global, regional, and local aspects of social life.  Since conventional disciplinary borders and lines of demarcation are losing their old rationales in a globalizing world,  in this course we apply an interdisciplinary framework to the study of globalization.

The course features the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Professor of Political Science and Globalization, Manfred B. Steger, whose work on Globalization has appeared in more than 300 libraries across the world. The course aims to support subject-specific inquiries into the dynamics and effects of contemporary globalization and its varying impacts across, between, and within societies.

We shall covers subjects such as: market globalism; academic debate over globalization; imperial globalism; justice globalism; national populism, jihadist globalism; and the future prospect of globalization.  You will learn with videos and textbooks.
